Find Product Key on your XP CD Installer
Lost your XP Product Key which is usually printed on the case of the installer? Well here is how you can obtain your product key if you lost all the printed materials where your product key can be found. All you need is your XP CD/DVD installer, put it in your CD/DVD driver, and alas! you can now proceed on the installation of XP without sweat. :)
Here are the simple steps you need to perform in order to get your Product Key from the installation CD.
(Note: This may only work for certain OEM CDs, if it does not work for you, you can check out our earlier post on how you can find your Windows XP Product key.)
1. Insert the Installation CD into your CD / Drive Drive.
2. Explore the CD and navigate to the i386 folder.
3. Open the file UNATTEND.txt and scroll down to the last line.
4. You will find your Windows XP Product key there.
